Why stem sealing matters
Steam and thermal-oil service require attention to leakage around the stem as well as shut-off. A metal bellows provides a sealing barrier between the moving stem and the process. Leakage through the seat and leakage to atmosphere are different issues; a bellows design does not remove the need to assess both.
Check DIN connections and materials
Review nominal size, flange standard, face-to-face dimension and the pressure-temperature table together. A PN designation does not allow the same pressure at every temperature. For BVALVE DIN models BV25061, BV25064, BV25063, BV25065 and BV25066, compare body material, fluid compatibility and actual operating temperature.
What to include in an enquiry
Specify the fluid, normal and maximum pressure/temperature, DN, connection standard, face-to-face dimension and operating frequency. State whether throttling is required; an isolation valve is not automatically suitable for every control duty. Plan maintenance access and installation orientation using the selected model’s instructions.
Let’s select the right product.
Consider nominal size, pressure class, fluid, temperature, connection and actuation together. Refer to the technical catalogue for suitable materials and operating limits.
