Match the body to the pipework
A wafer body sits between pipe flanges, a lug body uses attachment points around the body, and a double-flanged body has a flange at each end. Body style is only one criterion
Disc, shaft and elastomer must suit the fluid. The seat material can limit temperature even when the body is suitable. Check flange drilling, pipe bore and disc clearance. A lug body alone does not establish approval for dead-end service or operation with one pipe side removed; confirm the manufacturer’s rating.
Handle, gearbox or actuator
Operating differential pressure and required torque guide the choice of operator. Include frequent cycling, remote operation or control signals in the enquiry. For a replacement, provide the nameplate photograph, fluid, temperature, flange standard and available space as well as DN.
