Define the mixing objective

Homogenising a tank, suspending solids and directing flow are different objectives. Motor power alone does not describe how well they will be achieved. Start with tank geometry and volume, liquid level, density, viscosity and dry solids. Intermittent or continuous process operation also affects selection.

Placement changes performance

Propeller diameter, thrust, speed and installation angle influence the flow pattern. Poor placement can leave dead zones despite high motor power. Wall and floor clearances follow model-specific requirements. Jet and ejector alternatives require coordinated selection of pump, nozzles and pipework.

Control and maintenance access

Adaptive speed can respond to changing process needs, with savings assessed against the actual duty profile. Plan lifting, guides, cable routing and service access during design. Share tank drawings, fluid data and the required outcome. Where necessary, use flow analysis or site validation for final sizing.
